Boone County Government Offices and Departments Closed On Friday, December 23, 2022, Courthouse To Remain Open
December 22, 2022—Due to the continuing dangerous conditions forecasted for Friday, December 23, 2022, all non-essential Boone County Government offices and departments will be closed. All non-essential meetings previously scheduled to occur at Boone County buildings will be canceled. The Boone County Courthouse will remain open, and all court activity will occur as scheduled. Offices and departments are expected to reopen on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, following the Christmas Holiday.
Boone County’s Office of Emergency Management encourages residents to stay indoors and take extra precautions when traveling or while outside during extremely cold temperatures. Residents are encouraged to have an emergency plan in place in case they are stranded or experience a power outage due to the weather conditions.
Residents are reminded not to call 9-1-1 unless there is an actual emergency occurring. For non-emergencies, call 3-1-1.
